The Azusa Plane was the experimental drone rock alias of guitarist Jason DiEmilio; begun in 1995, the project's debut 7", Vol. 1:Fall/Meander, bore the cryptic declaration "This is volume one...of the ten-volume vinyl collection documenting the existence of the Azusa Plane. Following the tenth volume, the Azusa Plane will disintegrate and cease to exist." After the second volume, a split single with Fuxa, the Azusa Plane's third official recording, Resonating Subtleties, appeared on the Shrimper label.
