Norwegian rap duo Karpe Diem were founded in 2000 in Oslo, Norway, by Egyptian-Norwegian Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and Indian-Norwegian Chirag Rashmikant Patel. A politically charged, formidable concert draw, the pair have performed live with DJ Marius Thingvald and Something Sally. Karpe Diem debuted in 2004 with the six-track Glassk+Ñr EP on Tuba Records. A Top Ten hit on the Norwegian singles chart, Glassk+Ñr paved the way for a recording contract with Bonnier Music.
