Biography
Pennsylvania-born tumbleweed folkie Langhorne Slim seems at times a figure out of the distant rural past. His bluegrass-inflected rootsy stomp is certainly not designed for pop radio airplay. But what Slim lacks in glamour or polish, he makes up for with true grit informed by an audible sense of musical history. His quavering, plaintive voice complements his fleet-fingered guitar picking and unadorned arrangements with the hard-won authenticity of someone twice his age. No tourist in a second-hand straw hat, Slim's the real deal.
