Matt Wertz is a D.I.Y. singer/songwriter with a soulful, feel-good sound that combines alternative rock with acoustic folk and '80s and '90s pop and R&B elements. He issued a pair of independent albums before inking a deal with Nettwerk ahead of the release of 2007's blue-eyed soul-tinged Everything In Between.
