And their hits -- "Steppin' Out," "Just Like Me," "Hungry," "Him or Me -- What's It Gonna Be," and "Kicks" in particular -- are now seen by compilers as bold, unpretentious pieces of '60s rock & roll with a defiant, punk edge.
