This Canadian alternative rock band originated at the Nova Scotia College Of Art in Halifax, where Andrew Scott (b. 15 November 1967, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; drums) and Chris Murphy (b. 7 November 1968, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada; bass) linked with Patrick Pentland (b. Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland; guitar) and Jay Ferguson (b. 14 October 1968, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; guitar/vocals).
