Kacey Musgraves will see herself inside Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this year.
Per a press release from the organization's website, the "Slow Burn" singer is one of four country acts — alongside Keith Whitley, Brooks & Dunn, and Boudleaux and Felice Bryant — joining the American Currents: The Music of 2018 show, which opened Friday (March 8).
The Grammy-winning songstress' display is slated to premiere this summer, on July 3, and will "trace her musical journey, which began in the 1990s in her East Texas hometown, Golden."
The prestigious honor "explores new stories related to the ongoing evolution of country music," said Museum CEO Kyle Young, adding that with Musgraves' entry, they hope to tell the story of "a rising country music star who does things her own way and is finding tremendous success doing so.”
“I absolutely adore the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum,” the musician said in a statement, “and it’s a privilege to have them curate an exhibit that will showcase pieces from moments all the way back to my childhood that are very special to me.”
Word of Musgraves' upcoming showcase comes as just another career high note for the artist, who recently swept the 2019 Grammy Awards with four honors including Album of the Year and Best Country Album.
