While it would seem like most every teenage girl's dream to receive a text message from Shawn Mendes, Billie Eilish apparently was not impressed when she got the notification. In fact, the "Bury A Friend" singer-songwriter summed up the surprising moment in the most hilarious way during an interview with First We Feast on Friday (March 29).
“Shawn Mendes texted me, but I didn’t respond,” the 17-year-old confessed with a laugh when asked who was the last famous person she texted. So unfazed by the situation, Eilish didn't even appear interested enough to humor fans with what Mendes' text actually said. Eventually, the funny clip made its way around to the "Lost in Japan" crooner, who, in response to Eilish's blunt admission, tweeted "LOL wow."
This isn't the only awkward interaction the "Bad Guy" artist has had with a celebrity.
Earlier this week, while celebrating the release of her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Eilish recalled the time Justin Bieber sort of gave her the same ghosting treatment when he responded to one of her Instagram DMs… five years later.
“Hey Justin, I just wanted to talk. How are you? Please answer,” Eilish noted of her original message, sent in 2014, adding that Bieber recently responded with a screenshot of her original DM, along with an impassive "LOL."
