ICYMI: Miley Cyrus Teased A Potential New Single Called 'Bad Karma'

In case you missed it: Miley Cyrus teased more new music this week.

While all eyes were certainly on the "Malibu" goddess and her husband, Liam Hemsworth, during last night's (May 6) 2019 Met Gala event, the pop star used the occasion to sneak in a snippet of a potential new single called "Bad Karma," as dubbed by Cyrus' sleuthing Smilers.

The singer teased the first audio preview of her record in a video captured and shared on Polish supermodel Anja Rubik's Instagram Stories as the gang was headed to Monday's fashion celebration. In one clip, which lasts no more than five seconds, Cyrus dances and sings along to the lyrics "Kiss me, bad karma" over bass-bumping beats and playful ad-libs. Another longer video seems to reveal the never-before-heard song will incorporate funky grooves too.

Also — and Cyrus has confirmed none of this herself — Shawn Mendes may be featured on the tune as well, per what's being whispered across social media! Which wouldn't be a far cry from the truth, considering the two musicians previously hinted at a collaboration earlier this year. Not to mention, the pair sounded pretty good in their duet of "Islands in the Stream" at the 2019 Grammys.

There are still seven more months left of 2019 before Cyrus makes good on her promises of MC7 (her seventh studio album). As far as her recent music is concerned, last year, she featured on Elton John's tribute album and followed with two Mark Ronson-assisted projects with"Nothing Breaks Like a Heart"  and a cover of John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" toward the tail-end of 2018.
