Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler had to be rushed to the hospital on Thursday night after he stabbed himself at his home in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, a person at the rocker's home called 911 just after 6:30 p.m., telling the dispatcher that someone had stabbed themselves. When the police and EMTs arrived, they discovered Steven with a stab wound to his stomach.
Adler was taken to the hospital where his injuries were listed as non-life-threatening. Police do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident. There is no word yet if drugs had anything to do with what happened, but for years Adler has battled addiction and was even kicked out of the band in 1990 due to his heroin habit. He has since appeared on shows like Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House.
Lately, Adler has been touring with his group, Adler's Appetite. He also appeared at a handful of shows on the GN'R reunion trek, but wasn't asked to rejoin the band for the full jaunt. See all his upcoming dates here.
