The Lumineers Reflect On Career Ahead Of First Stadium Show

On Wednesday (January 29), The Lumineers' Jeremiah Fraites took to the band's Instagram to think back on how far the band has come since beginning over a decade ago.

The reflection doesn't come out of the blue, tho. As the band released the second leg of its huge III The World Tour, it was announced The Lumineers would not only be playing their hometown of Denver, Colorado, but also play their first stadium show at Coors Field (the home of the Colorado Rockies)— a huge feet for any artist!

In his note to fans, Fraites showed gratitude as he went through a list of venues his band has been lucky enough to check off its bucket list and it'll give you all the feels.

“Can’t believe this is real. When Wes and I moved to Denver 10 years ago we started out at the open mic at the Meadowlark. That’s actually where we met Stelth Ulvang. The goal was to play places like the Larimer Lounge and the Hi Dive,” Fraites wrote. “A place like Red Rocks was the 10 year goal. The baseball stadium was def never a goal, at least for me because I only set dreams and goals I thought were obtainable. Feel so lucky we will get to do this, especially in Denver and especially with such a sick fellow local band like Gregory Alan Isakov!”

Fans, of course, wasted no time congratulating The Lumineers on this massive career milestone. “Hurray for hard work, beautiful talent and maybe a little luck! You deserve it all - enjoy!” one fan commented on Instagram. “Making Denver proud! It been fun watching you and GAI grow! #dayones,” another wrote.
