To celebrate her 75th birthday next year, country music icon, Dolly Parton, wants to recreate her Playboy cover from 1978.
While on Sunday's (March 8) episode of 60 Minutes Australia, Parton was asked what her "retirement age" would be. Her response made it clear she is not planning on stepping down anytime soon.
"Well, I don't plan to retire. I just turned 74, [and] I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine," she said.
The "Jolene" singer first appeared on the cover of Hugh Hefner's men's magazine when she was 32-years-old. The cover featured Parton wearing the signature Playboy bunny costume including ears, bow-tie, and cuffs.
"See, I did Playboy magazine years ago," she explained. "I thought it'd be such a hoot if they go for it- I don't know if they will- if I could be on the cover again when I'm 75."
As the interview continued, Parton was asked if she'd wear the same costume from 1978 again in which she said she might.
"I could probably use it, maybe. Boobs are still the same!" she added. "I'm kind of cartoonish and cartoons don't really age that much. When I'm 90, I'll probably look about the same way. Just thicker makeup, bigger hair."
Parton has no plan currently to ever retire. In fact, in January, she revealed that she plans to continue to release music even after she dies.
"I’ve got hundreds, hundreds, even thousands of songs, a big part of them have never even been recorded," Parton previously shared. "There’s enough stuff to go on forever with my music, to do compilation albums, to do new and original stuff. I am purposely trying to put songs down for that very purpose, to have a click track and my vocals where any arrangement could be done.”
"Any producer anywhere in the world, when I’m gone, they could take my songs just the click track and my vocal and build a complete arrangement around that, any style," she added. "So that will go on forever."
