Zayn Malik’s newest tattoo has fans speculating he and Gigi Hadid are engaged.
The “Dusk Till Dawn” musician debuted some new ink many believe is a sign that he’s popped the question to the runway model. Jeweler George Khalife shared a picture of Zayn’s latest tattoo on Instagram, showing that the crooner had Kahil Gibran’s poem “On Marriage,” scrawled across his arm.
The romantic verses, often spoken at weddings, reads: "Sing and dance together and be joyous but let each one of you be alone. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. Stand together, yet not too near together; For the pillars of the temple stand apart. And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow."
In case you think it’s just a coincidence, this isn’t the first time Zayn has shared Gibran’s poems. Some eagle-eyed fans pointed out that the “Pillowtalk” singer once posted Gibran’s poem “The Prophet” on Instagram just a year ago.
The engagement rumors come just a week after Gigi officially confirmed she and Zayn are expecting their first child together, a daughter, as reported by TMZ. "Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms but we're very excited and happy and grateful for everyone's well wishes and support," the cover girl said on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Zayn’s tattoo is just the latest expression of his love for the mother of his future child. Over the weekend, the lovebirds sported a pair of matching 14k “evil eye” bracelets gifted to them by Khalife as well. As the jeweler explained to Page Six, the charms carry a cultural and spiritual meaning for the couple meant to ward off evil spirits.
