Cara Delevingne isn’t here for people bashing Ashley Benson.
After her ex-girlfriend sparked dating rumors with rapper G-Eazy this week, the model took to social media to defend Benson against attacks from haters. Going to her Instagram Stories once the gossip became too much, Delevingne wrote, “It’s more important now than ever to spread love, not hate. To everyone hating on @ashleybenson please stop. You don’t know the truth, only her and I do and that’s exactly how it should be.”
According to Us Weekly, Delevingne’s Story came just hours after Benson and the “No Limit” musician were caught on camera sharing a smooch.
The Daily Mail published the now-viral video, which has since circulated on social media, causing many fans to bash Benson, who only recently called it quits with Delevingne a few weeks ago.
“Halsey didn't write without me and you should be sad for Ashley Benson to leave Cara Delevigne for G- eazy,” one Twitter user reacted. Another chimed in, “i don’t want to live in a world where ashley benson broke up with cara delevingne to date g-eazy.”
Before G-Eazy, Benson and Delevingne had been in a two-year relationship. Despite the visual evidence, nothing’s been confirmed on whether the Spring Breakers actress is actually rebounding with the “Me, Myself & I” superstar, whose last-known romance was with singer Halsey.
Describing the 30-year-olds relationship after the video surfaced, an insider told PEOPLE G-Eazy and Benson's bond “feels like just a fling for now,” adding in the Pretty Little Liars star's defense, “She’s getting over a breakup.”
