Tia Mowry Reveals 68 Pound Weight Loss After Giving Birth to Daughter Cairo

Two years after welcoming her daughter Cairo into the world with husband Cory Hardrict, Tia Mowry is sharing her weight loss story since giving birth, along with an empowering message for all of the moms out there.

On Instagram, Tia revealed that she lost 68 pounds since the birth of Cairo, and as she explained, she's proud that she did it her way and took her time with it. Mowry shared, "I’ve lost to date 68 pounds since giving birth to my daughter. I’m very proud that I did it my way and in my time. I didn’t feel rushed to snap back. I enjoyed breast feeding and spending quality time with #cairo and my son #cree."

She went on to share a message with all fellow moms who may be struggling with weight loss after giving birth: "To all the women who are feeling pressured after birth. Do YOU! Do what makes YOU proud and do it in YOUR time. Not anyone else's."

Along with her inspiring words, she shared a mirror selfie of her physique, rocking a sweater and cut-off denim shorts.

In a 2018 interview with E! News after initially welcoming her daughter, she explained that she knew it would take time to get back to feeling like herself again. She said, "It's not about trying to look great. It's about trying to feel great. And if that takes five to six months to a year to feel like myself, then so be it."

Cairo is Tia and Cory's second child together. The couple had their first-born, their son Cree, in 2011.
