Justin Moore has returned with new music for fans!
On Friday (October 9), the country singer released "We Didn't Have Much" from his not-yet-announce next album. The song, written by Jeremy Stover, Randy Montana, and Paul DiGiovanni, finds Moore reminiscing on his simple upbringing and appreciating the little moments in life.
"There was dirt on daddy's clothes / From putting that bacon on mama's stove / Dog barking in the yard at a truck we don't know / All we had was us / And had a little bitty house and a lotta love / We had it all when we didn't have much," Moore sings in the chorus.
"I’m really excited to get 'We Didn’t Have Much' out to country radio," Moore said in a statement. "It sounds different than any other song we’ve released to radio in my career."
Moore went on to explain how the coronavirus pandemic and life off the road has allowed him to connect to the lyrics in a powerful way.
"I think it’s a poignant lyric for this time in our lives also," he continued. "2020 has led my family and I to lead a more simple life than what we are accustomed to. This song speaks to the beauty in that simplicity."
Outside of spending time with family and enjoying the simple life, Moore has also been hosting his new Justin Moore Podcast throughout quarantine. Alongside his tour manager, JR, the two have interviewed guests like Tracy Lawrence, Jon Pardi, Brantley Gilbert, wrestling champion Diamond Dallas Page, ESPN’s Marty Smith and more.
"We Didn't Have Much" follows Moore's previous hit single, "Why We Drink," which became his ninth No. 1 single. Take a listen to his new track in the video below!
