Lil Uzi Vert revealed what happened to his $24 million facial jewelry.
The “XO Tour Lif3” rapper implanted a pink diamond into his forehead to avoid losing the precious stone, but told TMZ fans tore it off of him after he did a face dive at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami.
“I had a show at Rolling Loud and they kind of ripped it out,” Uzi told the outlet while walking into the 18th anniversary party of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in NYC. Thankfully, he didn’t suffer any facial damage and still has the gem.
“I’m feeling good. I still have the diamond so I’m feeling good,” he shared. In place of the diamond, the rapper had a barbell piercing, at least for now.
Now that implanting the diamond into his forehead doesn’t seem to be the best way to keep it safe, Uzi reportedly wants to frame the diamond he says he saved up for years to purchase.
In February, he posted a cryptic message about the implant, tweeting a photo of his forehead with blood leaking under the stone. “If I don’t get it took out the right way I could die,” he wrote online at the time.
He actually took the diamond out earlier this summer. but got it re-inserted for Rolling Loud.
