David Crosby: A Legendary Musician's Life In Photos

David Crosby was known for blazing trails with his music throughout his decades-long career. The legendary artist, who was also known for his work with The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, died on Thursday (January 19). He was 81.

Crosby’s generation-spanning career includes GRAMMY Award wins, two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions (both took place in the 1990s, with The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash). Born in 1941 in Los Angeles, California, Crosby was the son of cinematographer Floyd Crosby and Aliph Van Cortland Whitehead. He is survived by his wife, and children.
