Lil Wayne is not a fan of a wax figure that was made in his honor.
On Monday, October 23, the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. released images of its brand-new wax figure that was made as a tribute to the Young Money founder. As soon as the photos hit the Internet, fans immediately noticed that the wax statue doesn't exactly resemble Weezy. The creators managed to recreate his tattoos, but missed the mark on the rest of his body especially his face. The "Kat Food" rapper himself found himself agreeing with the fans and released his own statement about the wax figure.
"Sorry wax museum but dat s**t ain’t me!" he posted to his X/Twitter account. "You tried tho and I appreciate the effort."
The fans' opinions weren't as tamed as Wayne's response. Some fans joked that the wax figure looks more like Jacquees or Toosii with dreads. There's no word on what the wax museum plans to do with the figurine. However, it doesn't look like Wayne will be paying them a visit anytime soon.
Lil Wayne is just the latest artist to receive the wax figure treatment. Throughout the year, we've seen other wax reincarnations of artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Jack Harlow. The figures were made by Madame Tussaud's, who has done an amazing job at recreating the biggest celebrities in the world. Both artsts showed plenty of love to the famed wax museum for their creations.
