A specialist in Spanish and Latin American music, pianist Adam Kent has toured widely as a soloist and chamber musician. He is also a prominent educator.
Kent attended the Juilliard School, studying piano with Jerome Lowenthal. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the Manhattan School of Music as a student of Solomon Mikowsky. He then joined the faculty of the Precollege division of the latter school in 1984; as of the early 2020s, he remained in that position.
