Picking up on the decadent image and rowdy approach of vintage blues acts, guitarist Big Daddy G (known to his mother as Dave Glover) began making a splash around the turn of the century. The club circuit had shaped his music into a fiery attack before any records had been released, and a chance meeting with organist/singer Tortoise Blue gave Big Daddy G the chance to form a strong band around his playing.
