Gospel singer Danny Gaither began singing for communal audiences at the age of three - his mother accompanying him on the piano. Eventually he was joined by brother Bill Gaither, as well as his cousin, until that relation was replaced by sister Mary Ann. The trio, still accompanied by their mother, toured and played widely until each attended college.
