Berlin's Steffen Berkhahn, best known as Dixon, has made a major impact on the global dance music scene through his adventurous DJ sets as well as his renowned Innervisions label. While minimal techno dominated dancefloors during the 2000s, especially in Dixon's home city, he helped shift the balance back towards house music, incorporating vocals and a dramatic sensibility within a techno framework.
