Doctor Krapula

Formed in the late '90s, Colombian ensemble Doctor Krápula are known throughout Latin America and beyond for their energetic mix of punk, cumbia, ska, hip-hop, and reggae as well as their politically and socially aware themes. Beginning with 2001's El Carnaval de la Apatilla, the Bogotá-based septet launched a wildly successful recording career that earned them five Latin Grammy Awards nominations, 17 Shock Awards, and the prestigious Order of Democracy Simón Bolívar from the Colombian government for their environmental activism.
