Gilberto Santa Rosa (aka "El Caballero de la Salsa") is one of the most esteemed and tradition-minded soneros to emerge from the 1980s boom; his popularity and acclaim only increased in subsequent decades. His style of salsa isn't easily categorized, for he often changes his approach from one album to the next.
