Hélène Ségara

Hélène Ségara hails from the Mediterranean coast in the south of France. She was born in the small town of Six-Four-les-Plages on February 26, 1971. Her young life was complicated by a rocky family life, and at 14, she left her mother's home to live with her father, at which time she began performing in clubs and bars along the Riviera. She built up a strong repertoire and fan base, venturing out to record her 1993 debut record, Loin. At the age of 25 the young singer decided to move to Paris in search of more fertile artistic soil.
