One of the "heavy yet melodic" American rock bands to emerge in the early 21st century, Atlanta-based Injected were formed in the mid-'90s by Danny Grady (vocals, guitar), Steve Slovisky (bass), and Chris Wojtal (drums) while in high school. All three members had played together intermittently in local bands. With pop-punk in fashion at the time, leader Grady made a conscious effort to pen tunes with an eye to the craftsmanship of bands like the Beatles and Nirvana, while also offering up powerful riffs.
