Biography
Colombian-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jorge Villamizar experienced several years of success in the band Bacilos before embarking on a solo career. Born October 14, 1970, in Montería, Córdoba, Colombia, he moved with his family to Quito, Ecuador, at age ten. Influenced by the Beatles as well as folk music of the Andes, he took a deep interest in music during these years. At age 15 he attended a Soda Stereo concert in Quito that left a lasting impression upon him and inspired him to make music of his own.
