Detroit native Kenny Cox (who preferred Kenn to Kenny) was a jazz pianist, composer, bandleader, multi-instrumentalist, instructor, and culture worker. His name is synonymous with abundant creativity on Detroit's jazz scene during the last half of the 20th century and into the 21st.
