Biography

Launching the careers of Korn members David Silveria, James "Munky" Shaffer, Fieldy, and Brian Welch, L.A.P.D. was a far different beast than what its members would move on to. By incorporating elements of funk into their thrashy stew, L.A.P.D. (short for Love and Peace, Dude) fit in with the groove-oriented California scene, performing with groups like Mordred and Psychofunkupus. Featuring all the aforementioned members (although Welch was a roadie) and singer Richard Morrill, they formed in the late 80s in Bakersfield, CA.
