A Canadian country singer/songwriter whose powerful voice and pop hooks recall '90s stars like Martina McBride and Shania Twain, Madeline Merlo came out of Vancouver in the mid-2010s. Her 2016 debut album, Free Soul, yielded a string of popular hits and after moving to Nashville, she spent the latter part of the decade focused solely on singles. Songs like "Kiss Kiss" and "It' Didn't" were Top 20 country hits in her home country and she built on their success with the 2022 EP, Slide.
