Trumpeter Matilda Lloyd made a major impact while still in her teens, winning a BBC Young Musician of the Year competition and making her debut at the Proms. In her early twenties, she had already launched an international career and released her debut recording.
Lloyd was born in 1996 and grew up in the small city of Sevenoaks, southeast of London, where as a youngster, she played principal trumpet in the Sevenoaks Symphony Orchestra.
