Treading the same lines as Modern Baseball and the Front Bottoms, California-based Mom Jeans. deliver an affecting, heart-on-sleeve mix of emo-tinged indie rock, as heard on their 2016 debut, Best Buds, and subsequent efforts Puppy Love (2018) and Sweet Tooth (2022). Formed in Berkeley, California while studying at university, the group wasted no time in putting together their debut release, a self-titled two-track single, in 2014.
