Led by Durand Jones & the Indications' pianist Steve Okonski, the Okonski trio plays a nuanced and painterly brand of improvisatory instrumental music, touching upon jazz and classical. The debuted with 2023's Magnolia and returned with 2025's Entrance Music. Born in Summerville, New Jersey, Okonski grew up in Milan, Michigan where he started playing piano at a young age.
