In 1999, singer/songwriter Joseph Arthur opened a gig headlined by Three Fish, a side project of Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament and Richard Stuverud of the Fastbacks. The trio hit it off, but it would take a decade for them to collaborate. In 2010, they reunited in Seattle, where Ament invited Arthur to his Montana studio.
