In her indie pop tunes, L.A.-based singer Sad Alex deals with heartbreak and other personal emotions with equal amounts of confessional sincerity and playfully witty humor: she can write a touching song about being ghosted and then churn out a throwaway tune with lyrics entirely consisting of negative online comments to her music.
