It's not often a U.K. artist cuts a U.S. country hit on their first trip to the States, but in 2012, that's what happened to Sam Palladio, and performing a duet with an Australian, no less. Besides being an actor, Palladio was a singer/songwriter as well, so in 2011, when he read the pilot script for the American television series Nashville, he sent the show's producers demo recordings from his London flat and landed the part of country star hopeful Gunnar Scott.
