The Domingos formed while in junior high in 1961. The lineup consisted of Nick Marinelli (lead), Bob Kerr (baritone), Ernie Dernai (first tenor), and Dan Guise (baritone). All lived in Livonia, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Bitten by the Motown sound and the predominance of R&B emanating from Detroit radio stations, they fashioned themselves after the top acts and began doing talent shows and dances.
