Sirsy

Sirsy is an Albany, New York rock band that plays modern rock with anthemic blues-inspired singing courtesy of vocalist Melanie Krahmer. The band was formed in 2000 by Krahmer along with bassist Rich Libutti, drummer Greg Nash, and guitarist Mike Steiner, but eventually became a duo of Krahmer and Libutti. (The name Sirsy came from a childhood nickname of Krahmer, whose younger sister couldn't quite pronounce "sister.") Originally the group played covers, but eventually began writing original material.
