Spite

An American heavy metal outfit with an aggressive sound that draws from multiple subgenres like post-grunge, post-hardcore, noise rock, and nu-metal, Spite emerged in the mid-'90s and released a pair of well-received albums before disbanding in the early 2000s. Spite was formed in July 1996 in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a lineup consisting of vocalist Chris Boone, guitarist "Live Fast" Dan Young, bassist Josh Pratt, and drummer Byron McDonald.
