Taking their name from a tarot death card in a deck designed by bassist/vocalist Troy Gregory, Southeast Michigan's Super Birthday employ a versatile amalgam of blazing progressive rock and granular psych-pop that invokes names like King Crimson, Roxy Music, Rush, Black Sabbath, and Genesis.
