Beachy Texas duo Surfaces make upbeat, feel-good pop influenced by 1970s R&B, electronica, and hip-hop. The band broke through with their 2017 album Surf, featuring the single "Be Alright." Buoyed by the hit "Sunday Best," they cracked the Billboard 200 with their sophomore LP, 2019's Where the Light Is. Following 2020's Horizons, they collaborated with Elton John on the song "Learn to Fly" and returned to the Billboard 200 with 2021's Pacifico.
