Born and raised in Fort Scott, Kansas into a musical family, Spencer Lee was always destined to pursue a career in music, with both of his parents having attended college on vocal scholarships. Inspired as much by Justin Timberlake and John Mayer as Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, Lee had spent his younger years competing in regional talent competitions before making the move to Los Angeles at the age of 18.
