This funky sextet revolved around a nucleus of brothers Billy, Mike and Kenneth Young from West Virginia, USA. After moving to East Orange, New Jersey, in 1970 they formed the Young Movement with Buddy ‘Hank' Hankerson, an ex-member of Aurra (bass/keyboards/guitar) and Dave Reyes (drums). The group changed their name to Flashflood in 1974 and recorded with Slave and Aurra. When vocalist and sole distaff member Jackie Thomas joined in 1979 they first recorded as Young & Co.
