Yui Aragaki

Born on June 11, 1988 in Okinawa, Japan, Yui Aragaki was a popular model, actress and singer who first got attention as a junior fashion model. She eventually moved into television presenting and commercial work -- she was best known for her ads for the candy-snack Pocky -- and by 2007 had decided to add singer to her resume. Her first single, "Heavenly Days," was recorded for the film Koizora, of which she was to star. Her first album, Sora, was released on December 12th of 2007 and nearly broke through to the top ten. ~ Chris True
