T.I. & Tiny: We Bought Our Daughter Her Gun To Protect Her

T.I. and Tiny's people are speaking up in defense of their daughter Zonnique, AKA "Niq Niq," and her gun arrest last week, TMZ reports.

It turns out that it was actually her parents' idea to have her buy one for protection. After the young singer began getting serious threats on social media, they felt it was necessary for her to be armed. Niq Niq was even grabbed at a party, which further made the parents want her to always be safe, whether they were around or not.

Tiny had her daughter's paperwork for the gun, which is the reason why Niq Niq couldn't show them to the TSA agents at the airport and got arrested.

Don't worry about the 20-year-old though, Tip already hired a lawyer for her not too long after bailing her out of jail.

On Thursday (June 16), Zonnique was arrested at an Atlanta airport after security found the gun in her bag. Apparently, she was trying to catch a flight to meet her boyfriend, and accidentally grabbed the wrong purse when she was leaving her home. Niq Niq had no idea it was in there until she stopped by TSA agents.
