Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party is right around the corner -- a tour full of an amazing lineup of DJs/rappers/singers held annually in select cities across the country. But to let us know about this year's festivities is James Van Der Beek (you know, Dawson from from "Dawson's Creek"), in a hilarious new promo posted to Diplo's Twitter. Except he's not James Van Der Beek in the nearly three-minute clip. If you've been wondering what the actor has been up to lately, he's been perfecting his Diplo impression, and breaks it out in the new promo.
In the funny promo video, James-as-Diplo lets us in on what life is like for the Jack U DJ/producer. Because according to this video, "It's just life fam ... ain't no different than y'all's." Apparently, Diplo wakes up to live harp music, before heading to the office (which is full of twerking girls and rains money all day). The video also shows what studio time is like, which involves Christmas elves who are busy producing music, and how he handles his social media. Hint: It's lit, fam.

The look into the producer's life ends with James-as-Diplo riding away on a white horse, inviting all of his fans to the upcoming Mad Decent Block Party tour, as the tour dates roll across the screen.
