Lil Kim Doesn't Like Naturi Naughton Due To Her Complexion? (VIDEO)

An interview with actress and former 3LW singer Naturi Naughton did on "The Preachers" could reveal a lot about Lil Kim's beef with her.

In 2009, Naturi portrayed the rapper in Biggie Smalls biopic, "Notorious." It was well known in the hip hop circuit that Kim wasn't cool with the actress playing her, but no one knew why.

Flash forward seven years and Queen Bee still feels some animosity toward Naturi. Kim even made orders to not have the actress anywhere near her during the 2016 Hip Hop Honors when she was honored.

Still no one understood why this was. But now, we may have a little insight based on Naturi's recent sit-down with the talk show.

"There were rumors that Lil Kim felt like you were a little too brown, too dark, to play her," one of the co-hosts said. "What do you think about this whole skin debate in Hollywood?"

Naturi said, "Some people can't handle the chocolate, honey....colorism, it's a real thing, it's unfortunate. Especially being an actress, I'm not gonna deny it and it's real. And it hurts when it has affect me."

She continued: "I was honored, and proud, and hoped that people enjoyed my of Lil Kim and that's all I wanted to do."
