Britney Spears has us absolutely shook with a just-released video promo, which reveals that the pop titan will take the stage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 28) for her first performance at the ceremony in 9 years.
Spears' video announcement arrived via social media and takes viewers into a dressing room, where a yellow boa constrictor slithers through various props from Spears' iconic VMA performance history. Spears will be joined by G-Eazy for the live premiere of her new single, "Make Me."
"The VMAs don't give you a stage," the iHeartRadio Music Festival performaner says in the Radical Friend-directed video. "They give you a story. Some way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever. Before you know it – it's history. Before you know it… it's Britney b*tch."
Tune into the 2016 MTV Video Music awards on Sunday, August 28, at 9 p.m. ET
