INTERVIEW: Hailee Steinfeld on Performing With Shawn Mendes, Being A Troye Sivan Fan & Seeing Britney Spears' Vegas Show

The countdown is ON. There are just 29 days left until our 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival hits Las Vegas again, this year at the T-Mobile Arena, and Hailee Steinfeld is just one of the amazing artists who will be a part of the upcoming star-studded weekend. Hailee is performing at the Daytime Village at the iHeartRadio Music Festival -- the outdoor concert in between each night of the show on the main stage, and an event she is no stranger to. HAIZ surprised the crowd last year when she performed "Stitches" with Shawn Mendes, but this year, Hailee returns to the Daytime Village stage to headline her own set, and we can't wait!

We recently caught up with Hailee when she stopped by iHeartRadio HQ in New York City where she not only told us about her new single "Starving," but she also opened up about all of her favorite things! Check it out below.

FAVORITE MEMORY FROM PERFORMING AT THE VILLAGE AT THE iHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL IN 2015:

"I was there last year. It was actually my second performance ever, and I sang 'Stitches' with Shawn Mendes, which was so incredible, because it was really my first time experiencing singing a song, and having people really sing it back to me. It was my second performance. My first single had just come out, so being up there with Shawn, who is one of my favorite artists, that definitely created one of my favorite memories."

FAVORITE THING YOU'VE DONE IN VEGAS:

"I went and saw Britney Spears, her 'Piece of Me' show, which was literally like a dream. I mean, it was so crazy to be there and hear [and] see her. I had the most incredible seat in the house, and I was like, right there. She was so amazing. I was in a constant debate over whether I should be Snapchatting this or just watching it. But the whole show was really amazing."

FAVORITE ARTIST THAT YOU'RE GOING TO SEE ON THE LINE-UP THIS YEAR AT THE DAYTIME VILLAGE:

"So, I low-key ... I mean, this could be high-key ... I'm obsessed with Troye Sivan. I think he is so incredible. In fact, I never really sort of officially met him, but we played the same show, and we were walking up a staircase, and I looked down and he was coming up, and I was like, 'Oh my god, Troye!' As if I knew him, and I've never met him, and he was like, 'Hey.' I'm like, 'oh my god. This is so bad. This is totally awful. Can we redo this?' But, we've tweeted at each other a couple times, which is like, fan girl moment, so yes. I'm very excited to see Troye Sivan."

Hailee has a brand new single out with Zedd and producer duo Grey called "Starving." Zedd will be playing the main stage this year at the T-Mobile Arena during the iHeartRadio Music Festival. So we asked Hailee her favorite memory from making "Starving" with Zedd.

FAVORITE MEMORY OF BEING IN THE STUDIO WITH ZEDD:

"I kind of have two. I think one of them was when he introduced me to Grey, who I absolutely love. They are so incredible. They're extremely talented and I couldn't be happier that my [new] single is with them and with Zedd. I think being in the studio with him, being such a fan of him, was kind of just a surreal moment, and the way he works. He's so much fun, which is always kind of a thing when you're a fan of somebody and you're like, 'Oh my god, I can't believe I'm working with them. This could actually be a terrible experience,' but it was absolutely amazing."
